Which one to buy
If you shoot stills outdoors, pay the two hundred dollars. Composing on a screen in bright sun is genuinely difficult, and the dials change how quickly you work. If you shoot video, film yourself, or work mostly indoors, the X-M5 is the better tool and the vari-angle screen is worth more than a viewfinder you would rarely raise.
Common questions
Do both have REALA ACE?
Yes. Both carry all twenty film simulations, which is more than the X-T5 or X-S20 have.
Does either have stabilisation?
Neither. Use an OIS lens or keep shutter speeds above 1/60 with a 35mm lens.
