Laowa lenses for Fujifilm
Two manual lenses that do things nothing else on the mount does.
2 lenses from Laowa for Fujifilm. 0 are Fujifilm’s own and 2 come from 1 other brands, among them Laowa. Focal lengths run from 9 mm to 65 mm, 2 are primes and 0 are zooms. The fastest opens at f/2.8.
Laowa builds for specific problems rather than for range. The 9mm f/2.8 Zero-D covers 14mm equivalent — wider than any native X-mount lens — and the Zero-D in the name refers to the correction of straight lines, which is what separates a usable architectural ultrawide from one that bends every edge of the frame.
The 65mm f/2.8 goes to twice life size, not the half life size that most lenses called macro reach. That is a different kind of photography: at 2x the subject fills the frame at a few centimetres, and depth of field is measured in millimetres. Both lenses focus manually, which at these working distances is what you would use anyway
