IBIS and a real grip for under a thousand dollars.
Short answer
The X-S10 put six stops of in-body stabilisation and a deep grip into a 465g body for $999. It uses a 26.1MP X-Trans 4 sensor, a PSAM mode dial rather than Fujifilm dials, and has 18 film simulations.
The X-S10 was Fujifilm’s admission that not everyone wants shutter speed dials. It swapped them for a mode dial and a proper grip, added stabilisation nobody expected at the price, and sold extremely well.

Why it sold
Six stops of IBIS at $999 in 2020 was unheard of. Combined with a grip deep enough for a 16-80mm zoom, it made Fujifilm approachable for people coming from Canon and Nikon.
The 18 simulations include Classic Negative and ETERNA Bleach Bypass, which the more expensive X-T3 does not have.
The catches
A single UHS-I card slot, no weather sealing and a battery good for 325 frames. It uses the smaller NP-W126S rather than the NP-W235 that the X-S20 later adopted.
The mode dial will disappoint anyone who came to Fujifilm specifically for the dials.

Verdict
A used X-S10 is the cheapest stabilised Fujifilm and one of the best value bodies in the range. The X-S20 fixes the battery; if that is not a problem for you, save the money.

X-S10 or X-S20?
The X-S20 has a much bigger battery (750 shots against 325), better video and a newer processor. The X-S10 has the same sensor and IBIS for far less.
Is the X-S10 weather sealed?
No. If you need sealing at this size, look at a used X-T3 or X-T4.
